If you know Braille Satellite, you'll know the attention on Lithuania's DIY scene. “We're from fucking eastern Europe,” Ernestas Kaušylas recently told a Paris crowd. It got a laugh and the point across. The prison studio, the odd videos, the live show, it's creeping outside Vilnius.
Previous releases include an official Radiohead remix and Endless Transmission on Black Acre (Bristol), plus Stone Island Tracks on South of North (Paris and Amsterdam) in 2024, the first step into a new sound. LIMA ECHO CRACK! follows that thread, his most personal record yet, pulling krautrock, post-punk and psychedelia into something entirely his own. It came out on 6 July 2026, an Essential Release on Bandcamp Daily in its first week, and it entered the KEXP Top 90.
Live he plays as a three-piece band and solo. As a DJ he has played NTS and is a resident at LYL Radio and Radio Vilnius, with a summer residency at Noods Radio in Bristol and sets on The Lot Radio in New York. The sets run post-punk, dub, krautrock and leftfield electronics, context over formula.
“a curious outlier in the eastern european electronic scene, the rare beatmaker who pledges allegiance to riffs rather than drops”Bandcamp Daily
“a loose genre trip into krautrock, new wave, cosmic, post-punk, broken electronics and more”NTS
